Qxf2's Gen AI test automation service

Qxf2 API autogeneration offering

Qxf2 AI Tool (QAIT) empowers teams to automate UI tests quickly and effectively. You get a robust automated UI test suite quickly. We use generative AI and a human-in-the-loop to produce the automated UI test suite. The human performs exploratory testing and collaboratively identifies important workflows to automate. The code is implemented using our popular open-sourced test automation framework. So not only do you get a mature framework from day one but you also get the right code structure to maintain and enhance tests easily.

Note 1: QAIT is not a low code tool.
Note 2: We have a similar API test offering as well.

What you get

QAIT empowers teams to automate UI testing quickly and efficiently. On the surface, you get intelligent test automation along with speedy implementation. But there is much more that this service provides.

  1. quick coverage with UI test automation
  2. your team (developers and testers) writing and enhancing tests
  3. Qxf2's technical-testing expertise in advising you on test strategy
  4. a robust Python-based test automation framework used by 100+ companies

Teams spend many man-months creating a basic framework. Our framework is feature-rich and supports many common workflows out of the box. This alone is worth the price of admission!

Navigating the process

We perform basic feasibility checks before we begin the engagement. Then, we collaborate closely with your team and produce tests that are immediately useful. In our experience, we end up producing at least a dozen high priority automated tests within 2 weeks of starting the engagement. The exact numbers will depend on your specific context.

Our engagement model is really light on your time. You do not need a comprehensive set of documented tests or clear requirements. We do not need to be spoon-fed test cases. Our engineers are used to working on early stage products. Our practices are tuned to work well with minumum management overhead.

QAIT typical process

To give you a better sense of what to expect, we have outlined one of our early experiences at a client below.

An example client engagement

Qxf2 successfully implemented QAIT for a Visual Data Lineage tool (early 2024). We spent about 10 days with the client and produced twenty five high priority tests that covered major functionality. This includes time we spent gaining an in-depth understanding of their system, exploring functionality and indentifying key workflows within the product.

QAIT at a client

Is QAIT right for you?

Introducing automation successfully is a challenge. The art goes well beyond just writing some code and seeing it run. With that in mind, here are some points to be aware of as you consider QAIT for your needs.

  1. QAIT is meant only for web/mobile applications
  2. You are OK with using a Python-based test automation framework
  3. A "manual" test suite should be in place or can be bulleted out quickly
  4. The UI is stable and not undergoing drastic changes
  5. There is a common test/staging instance to run tests against
  6. (maybe) Synthetic data exists for test repeatability

We explicitly call these points out since there is no silver bullet when it comes to test automation. Not every solution will align with your tech-stack or team. For UI tests in other frameworks and languages, the staff augmentation service provided by Qxf2 is a better fit.
