We have gotten into the habit of thinking deeper about one topic on a weekly basis. We pick topics based on anything interesting we read - so the topics can range from 'how to express the value of testing' to 'Dieter Rams' design principles' to 'effective remote work habits'. Employees are guided to spend no more than one hour researching the topic online. The emphasis is on coming up with their own ideas and interpretations. We then meet as a group to exchange ideas. I love this habit and consider it one of the more unique benefits you will enjoy at Qxf2.

As the author said all of the successful tech companies were simple, humble and ugly when they first launched, but the one thing they all had in common is that they did something simple, and they did it well.We do not necessarily need money in order to kickstart a small business, but it certainly does not hurt. Some startup found success because they saw needs that were not being addressed, and had the skill to provide the right solutions. In the end, though, do not discount timing and networking. It might only take one thing to push you down the path to success.Just because you may start your career at the bottom does not mean you will end your career in the same position. With a little bit of determination and perseverance, you can create a future of success and perhaps even become your own boss one day.

My idea of any company earlier was that it should have a clear plan about their product and how they would achieve it. But it has changed and I feel adaptability is a key thing. Being flexible and able to pivot is important. Also as the blog says you don't need good design to start up, build something small and grow it one step at a time. Also being in R&D team also I feel you don't need a clear plan. When you do the research you will learn new stuff and then you can build on it.

Its a fun read where we get to see how the big companies started with their small ideas. I agree that every company should have a simple idea, be flexible and keep market in mind too. But it's not very easy to implement this when there are many ideas pouring in.

This article is short and to the point, little on funny side. But the message passed here is very crisp and clear. It was really difficult to digest that the big companies like Paypal,Facebook who has big set of customers, clients looked bit messy when it was initially designed. But if one has thought to achieve big and grow, with persistent effort, one can achieve it.
