We have gotten into the habit of thinking deeper about one topic on a weekly basis. We pick topics based on anything interesting we read - so the topics can range from 'how to express the value of testing' to 'Dieter Rams' design principles' to 'effective remote work habits'. Employees are guided to spend no more than one hour researching the topic online. The emphasis is on coming up with their own ideas and interpretations. We then meet as a group to exchange ideas. I love this habit and consider it one of the more unique benefits you will enjoy at Qxf2.

There are two take away from this article. If we build an application or if we trying to invent some thing we should analyze how useful it will be and think do we people really need it.Then only we have to spend time and money on it.Otherwise the product won't get recognized. But we can take it in either way the work will be honored at any time.We have to do our work without expecting the immediate success, later it will be used by more people.

A simple article which tells me that a breakthrough invention can be less important if there isnt a clear market for its use. Scott attempted several recordings but never heard them back. The idea of playback didnt occur to him. Edison also didnt know. Its after 20 years that music came into being. So you do need to keep market in mind when you trying to build something or invest in it. Otherwise, it might just go unnoticed and become a history.

As i read through this article i felt it emphasized the importance of writing. We at Qxf2 blog about new-findings/solutions to problems we face. The blogs we write may not be of help instantly as people are not aware or have not hit this particular issue we have solved. It takes time for people to realize or for a market to evolve for a particular product hence it is vital for innovators/problem-solvers to persist with the product/solution they work on.

Nice inspirational story. My thoughts on this topic are almost similar to others. There is few takeaway from this article. Breakthrough invention usually takes a long time, so never quit. If you are only interested in your invention, don't think whether it will be useful/helpful for others or not. Just focus on your invention. One day, it will be useful/helpful for others. But if you want to enjoy your success, look at market and do inventions.
