Modern testing for modern stacks

Our goals

1. Help software testers
I want Qxf2 to help software testers. We share what we know on our blog. We have open-sourced our automation framework. We answer queries from Internet strangers that reach out to us via our blog and email. We run a weekly newsletter that is focused on testing. I know that our competitors directly benefit from these actions. And I am ok with it. Because the number one goal I have for Qxf2 is to help other testers.

2. Improve the state of software testing
I want Qxf2 to be a place where testers work on challenging problems that affect the testing world. Here are a few things that we do to work on this goal. We bounce testing ideas of each other. We make it a point to read a wide variety of topics that are not yet part of mainstream QA today. We have been selective about the kind of clients we accept and generally shy away from routine and repetitive work. We continually invest in R&D and work on hard problems facing testing and share our results. You can read more about our efforts on R&D over here.

3. Foster an environment where good software testing can flourish
I want Qxf2 to be a place where I would choose to work. People joining us must become better testers because of our culture and work habits. We build tools to hire good testers. We work on creative exercises to help our new employees bridge the gap between their skills and the technologies we use. We pair with a different colleague every week and exchange notes about our work for that week. We try to emulate the good work habits we notice at our clients and incorporate it into our culture. Relative to our skills, this is probably our most challenging goal. All of us on the team are new to actively nurturing and designing a great environment from scratch. If you are reading this and have tips, please share it with me at mak@qxf2.com.
